Volunteer abroad this Summer

Using a holiday with the destitute boys as a chance to help educate them too...

Volunteer in India, this August, and make the world of difference to countless lives.

Our founder spent August 2017 volunteering in the slums & helping at a home for destitute boys thanks to UK-based grassroots charity, Chennai Challenge.

Every year, a small group of volunteers head out to Chennai to work with already established charities on the ground. Global Amigos are committed to supporting the charity & want to send a Preston resident out to Chennai in the future. Participants / volunteers are asked to raise £1500 in the months leading up to the placement; something we at Global Amigos will be happy to help with. Once on placement, volunteers can see where the money is spent and truly feel the gratitude from those who benefit from the work.

Running an educational session; teaching the boys that in places like Nicaragua, the men in the families use catapults to hunt for their dinner.

Sending the destitute boys back to their home, after their annual holiday with the Chennai Challenge team.
